October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Awareness and good self-care are key!!!
Breast cancer is the most common cancer among women worldwide. 1 in 8 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime. According to the National Breast Cancer foundation: death rates from breast cancer have been declining since about 1990, in part due to better screening and early detection, increased awareness, and continually improving treatment options. In general, mammography is the most effective screening tool used to find breast cancer in most women. It can find cancers at an early stage, when they are small and the chances of survival are highest.
